Innovation er “messily human”

“But I can’t get it out of my head that corporate innovation, that process of renewing a business to create future value in the face of changing realities, seems just too quirkily organic, too messily human, to be reduced to a scientific formula. The cover stars that sell copies of Wired – the Musks, the Jobses, the Björks – never approach innovation from a formulaic perspective. They’re difficult, complex, troublemaking creatures who somehow inspire followers to execute on bold, radical visions within specific cultural contexts And their formulae are certainly not simplistically repeatable, otherwise Nokia might still be challenging the likes of Apples as an in-demand maker of smartphones
